RB-26 is a high titania oxide type welding electrode for mild steel. It is widely used for welding sheets of ships , rolling stocks and automobiles , for ornamental surfacing of thick plates.
SKU:E-028-001
Categories:Welding and Consumable, Copper and Copper Alloy
General Characteristics
Workability
RB-26 possesses the following merits.
Usage:
For welding steel structures and thin steel sheets galvanized steel in the construction of ships, trains and motor vehicles made of mild steel
Notes of Usages
Features in use:
RB-26 welding wire is a titania type high flux cored wire. which can be connected in a vertical position - drag down Even when using a welding rod with a diameter of up to 5.0 mm, RB-26 electrode provides a stable arc with less spatter. Makes the surface of the welding seam smooth and shiny. Ideal for light structural welding. Which emphasizes welding in a vertical position - drag down It is also suitable for welding steel sheets and thin structures. due to the penetration depth that is not very high
Things to remember when using:
- To connect vertical position - drag down The tip of the welding rod should touch the workpiece plate.
- Do not use a welding current higher than the recommended range. Because not only will the X-ray inspection ability be reduced It also caused a lot of welding sparks. edge bite marks And the cover of the slag is not good enough.
- for best effect The welding wire should be dried before use at a temperature of 70-100ºC for 30-60 minutes. The excessive moisture absorption of the welding wire will reduce the working properties of the welding wire. And may cause air bubbles in the weld.
Warning:
- Appropriate eye and body protection should be worn.
- Do not touch electrically conductive devices.
- Do not inhale welding fumes.
